Have a hockey game that won’ t end til around midnight, first game since I tweaked my back playing in the last game, I’m hoping for no repeat of that nor the terrible pass that led to it.

Trying to make pickled ginger (gari). First time but it seems so simple with just 4 ingredients. Ginger, peeled and sliced thin, rice wine, a bit of sugar and a little salt. The quart is now cooling and the boat smells of vinegar. We’ll see how it tastes in a few days.

I can’t tell if I’m fighting off coronavirus a cold or if my allergies are just shitty so I’m going to binge Drive to Survive, put some laundry away, and pretend like I’ll go for a run tomorrow.

I had 2 Flying Dog, Double Dog (IPA) 12%, and another 7% beer last night on an empty stomach and nursed a hangover this morning. Just water tonight

Currently I’m nursing scotch #4 and washing it down with beer #3.

It’s a mild celebration of getting a huge bonus at work this week. It’s also a reward for working an extra 8 hours today to help us fix the aftermath of the 4th quarter of last year.
